Two Nato helicopters supporting a coalition base in eastern Afghanistan came under fire twice from across the Pakistan border, and returned fire the second time, a western military official told Reuters today.
The official declined to comment on whether the helicopters had crossed the border or fired into Pakistan from Afghan airspace.
Local intelligence officials from northwest Pakistan said today that two Pakistani troops were wounded by Nato helicopters that crossed the border.
