LAPD seeks cause of death of Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson

An autopsy and toxicology tests were pending this morning for Casey Johnson, the 30-year-old heiress to the Johnson & Johnson business empire who was found dead Monday at her Westside home.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating, though officials said there were no signs of foul play.

Authorities said they didn't have a cause of death for Johnson, and they were not sure how long she had been dead before being discovered.

Johnson, a well-known L.A. socialite and fiancee of reality TV star Tila Tequila, was pronounced dead by paramedics who responded to a call before noon Monday in the 900 block of North Orlando Avenue in the Beverly Grove neighborhood, the LAPD said.

Johnson was the daughter of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson. In a statement issued Monday night, her family asked for privacy "during this very difficult time," according to the Associated Press.

Johnson was friends with several young Hollywood celebrities, who express sadness at her untimely passing.

"I feel so sad right now, my heart is in pain. Just lost a longtime friend. My heart goes out to her family. R.I.P. Casey Johnson," Paris Hilton wrote on her Twitter page. "In bed crying, looking at baby pictures of Casey, Nicky and I. I feel so upset. I feel like I've lost a sister. My heart is broken."

Tila Tequila, who starred on an MTV reality show, wrote on her Twitter page, "Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support."
